Nothing is sold on board. Buy at the machine on the platform (the bank card you pay with becomes the ticket), in the Skyss app, or in the web shop; SMS to 2412 still works but is being withdrawn in autumn 2026. The fine without a ticket is NOK 1,250, or 1,050 paid on the spot.

The single is valid for 60 minutes from purchase and the ride to Byparken is 44, so buy it when the tram is due, not when you land; in the app you can set the start time. Any onward bus from Byparken on the same ticket has to be boarded inside the hour.

The last tram is 00:08 from Sunday to Thursday. The 00:25 arrival from Copenhagen misses it every night but Friday and Saturday, when it runs until 03:11.

One adult ticket carries up to four children aged 6 to 17 free, every day of the year, which is why a family should not look at anything else.

It is not valid on the Flybussen, and neither is any other Skyss ticket.

The coach is 25 minutes to the bus station and this is 41, for NOK 189 against NOK 51; the tram's advantage is the price, the hours and the frequency, not the clock.

NOK 189 against NOK 51 buys about a quarter of an hour to the bus station, and to Bryggen it buys nothing: 32 minutes here against a 44-minute tram and a short walk.

On Saturday it stops at 18:30. Ten buses, hourly from 09:30, and then nothing until Sunday 10:30; the tram runs every 10 to 15 minutes until 03:11 that night.

From four people a taxi is cheaper: NOK 756 here against Bergen Taxi's NOK 614 by day and 664 at night.

Buy online before you board: the driver charges more, and the operator does not say how much more.

The ticket is good for any departure on the day you chose, on the same stretch — a late flight does not waste it — but it cannot be changed or refunded.

Its 00:45 is the last thing leaving the airport on Sunday to Friday nights, twenty minutes after the 00:25 from Copenhagen lands; it does not run on Saturday night.
