What this site stores,
and why.

Always on: your own choice

When you answer the cookie banner, the answer is kept in your browser's local storage under the name atcc-consent: which categories you allowed, when, and which version of this list you answered. It is read only by this site, sent nowhere, and exists so we do not ask you on every page. Clearing your browser's site data removes it and the banner returns.

If you pick a currency beside Sort on a results page, to see an "about" figure beside each fare, that pick is kept the same way under the name atcc-currency: the currency's three-letter code (GBP, say) and nothing else, so the next page shows the same currency. It is read only by this site and sent nowhere. Until you pick one, the page reads your browser's language setting, on your device, to suggest a currency; that reading is not kept. Clearing your browser's site data removes it, and so does withdrawing partner links in the cookie choices after allowing them.

Nothing else is stored without your say-so. The fare comparison, the party-size controls and the arrival-time filter all run in the page and remember nothing.

When you open a page, follow a link to another site, open a result card, change the sort or the number of travellers, or scroll a partner box into view, the page also tells our own server: which page, which site a link went to and from which part of the page, so we can count which pages and links are used. If a script on the page fails, it sends the script's name, the line and the first words of the error. These notes carry no cookie and no identifier, are not stored on your device, and are counted on Cloudflare, which hosts the site, not by Google; they run whether or not you accept analytics.

Optional: analytics

If you accept analytics, the page loads Google Analytics 4, run by Google Ireland Ltd, which tells us which airports and routes people look up and, roughly, from which country. We use it to decide which airports to add next. It sets:

Until you accept, the Google Analytics script is not loaded at all — not even in a cookieless mode — so nothing about your visit reaches Google. If you accept and later refuse, the site deletes these cookies and reloads without the script.

Optional: partner links

Some of our booking links are paid: the operator or reseller pays us a commission when a booking follows, and those links are labelled. One of the networks behind them, Travelpayouts, run by Go Travel Un Limited in Hong Kong, credits bookings with a script served from emrldco.com. If you tick Partner links in the cookie choices, the page loads it, and it:

• sets its own cookies and local storage on this site, to recognise a booking that follows your visit;
• reads the Google Analytics and Yandex visitor identifiers (_ga, _ym_uid) if your browser holds them;
• reads the page you are on, and watches clicks on its own links, holding them for up to five seconds while it starts;
• sends what it collects to Travelpayouts, outside the EU, under its own privacy policy.

Every feature that would change the page — rewriting links, adding offers — is switched off in our Travelpayouts account, so what you see is the same either way.

This one is never switched on by the banner's Accept, which covers analytics only: it runs only if you tick its own box. Refusing it later deletes the cookies and local storage it left on this site and reloads the page without it. The paid links work the same either way, and none of them changes which option we recommend.

The map

An airport page shows a map of where each way in leaves you. The map library is served from this site, and the map tiles come from OpenFreeMap, a free public tile server that sets no cookies. Loading the tiles sends OpenFreeMap the ordinary request data any web server receives — your IP address and which tiles were asked for — and nothing else; the lines and points on the map come with the page.

Change your mind

The Cookies link in the footer of every page reopens the choice. Refusing is one click, exactly as accepting is, and nothing about the site changes either way.

This list was last changed on 31 October 2026, to add the currency you pick beside Sort. Your answer is kept for 12 months, then the banner asks again, and sooner if a change ever needs a new answer. What happens to the data itself is in the privacy policy.
