Bus 490 leaves every 20 minutes on weekdays until 19:28, then every 30 minutes to 22:30; at weekends every 30 minutes, from 06:30 on Saturdays and 08:00 on Sundays. At Aplerbeck the U47 runs every 10 to 15 minutes.
Kampstraße, one stop before the Hauptbahnhof, is the closer stop for the shopping streets.
Roadworks on the B1 can delay bus 490; at times it has run only between the terminal and car park P6.
