An eSIM for Ireland, installed before you fly, works in the arrivals hall: tickets, maps, the driver's messages.
A flight three or more hours late, or cancelled at short notice, can be owed up to €600 a passenger under EU and UK rules, depending on the flight. AirHelp charges only if the claim succeeds.

Arriving late?
Not everything runs around the clock: the Dublin Express runs 03:05–00:35. Outside those hours, the Dublin Bus route 41 and the Aircoach 700 and the Pre-booked private transfer are what remain. Set the hour you leave arrivals and the board keeps only what is running.

Going somewhere specific?
"The center" is not one place, and the answer changes
Dublin Express boards at zone 1, about a ten-minute walk from Terminal 1 arrivals, and at zone 21, the same distance from Terminal 2. Both stops are marked on the airport's own bus zone map.
Tickets
TFI Leap Visitor Cards are sold in the terminal: the T1 Convenience Store or WHSmith in Terminal 1 Arrivals, and SPAR in Terminal 2 Arrivals. Buy one there if you want to avoid Dublin Bus's coins-only fare.
The taxi rank
Taxis wait outside both terminals at all times, so there is no need to book ahead. Dispatchers are stationed outside each terminal and can help if you are unsure where to go.
Uber and Bolt
Uber and Free Now both collect arriving passengers from Zone 18, reached on foot from either terminal's arrivals area. Follow the walking directions each app shows once you request a ride.

Luggage is the real catch: the timetable itself says there is limited capacity for it and that Dublin Bus cannot guarantee you will be able to board with it. This is a city bus that happens to pass an airport, not an airport service.
It runs around the clock, every 30 minutes through the night, which no other cheap option here does.

The operator advertises "from EUR 8" to the heart of Dublin city on one part of its homepage and "from only EUR 9" on another. Both are starting prices, so what you pay depends on when you book.
It runs genuinely around the clock: 43 departures from Terminal 1 between 00:20 and 23:50, hourly through the night and up to every 15 minutes by day. It is the only coach here that does.
25 minutes is to O'Connell Street and 34 to Kildare Street, both from the operator's own overnight timetable when the roads are empty. Daytime traffic on the same road is slower.
A ticket is valid on a standby basis for 12 hours either side of the departure you booked, which is unusually generous if your flight slips.

It does not run between 00:35 and 03:05. If you are landing in the small hours this is not an option, however fast it is by day.
It reaches Heuston Station directly, which no other service here does, so it is the one to take for an onward intercity train.

Worth knowing
There is no train to Dublin Airport. For a capital city that is unusual, and it is why four bus and coach companies compete on the same road at prices from EUR 2.60 to EUR 9 and up.
The cheapest bus takes coins only: drivers cannot take notes, cards or tap-to-pay. Without euro coins, buy a EUR 2.60 Travel 90 ticket at Wright's Food Fayre in the terminal, where card, phone or note all work. That ticket covers Dublin Bus routes only, not DART, the Luas or another operator.
A TFI Leap Card brings the fare down to EUR 2.00 and caps a day at EUR 6.00, but you need one already. The Leap Visitor Card costs EUR 8 for a day and covers Dublin Bus, DART and the Luas.
No fixed taxi fare exists: the meter runs on distance, day and time. It charges EUR 1.32 per km between 08:00 and 20:00 Monday to Saturday, and EUR 1.81 to 2.20 per km outside those hours, giving a range of EUR 30 to 45 into the city.
Dublin Bus routes 16, 19 and 24 also pass the airport and are charged at the same fares as route 41. They are not recorded separately because 41 is the one that runs around the clock.
