Cash is EUR 5.00, no transfer, and the driver needs no more than EUR 10 change. Balearic residents with a Tarjeta Única or Intermodal ride free all through 2026; children under five travel free with a paying adult, up to four per adult.

Hours. From the airport: 05:30, 06:15, 06:35, 06:55, then every 15 minutes from 07:15 to 23:15 on weekdays (every 12 from 07:03 at weekends), then 23:35, 23:55, 00:15, 00:35, 00:55, 01:15, 02:15 and 03:10 — 77 departures on a weekday, 94 on a Saturday or Sunday. Toward the airport from Passeig Mallorca: 04:17 to 00:20, then one bus at 03:30.
The options are still here — your budget or journey-time filter is drawn tighter than any of them. Widen either one, or reset the filters, to bring them back.
Road journey times vary with traffic. Prices and availability should be confirmed with the operator.
Going somewhere specific?
"The center" is not one place, and the answer changes
Both the A1 and A2 leave from the same stop, floor 0 arrivals, outside the terminal building. The A1 also calls at a second stop on floor 2 departures, if you're starting there instead.
Tickets
Pay on board: tap a contactless bank card at the reader for the cheaper fare, or hand the driver cash — they carry no more than EUR 10 in change, so skip large notes. There's no ticket machine or office at the stop.
The taxi rank
The rank is the signed stop on floor 0, arrivals. Aena's own advice is to take a taxi only from there, avoid drivers touting for a ride anywhere else, and ask for a receipt if you need to complain.
Uber and Bolt
Uber and several licensed VTC firms pick up from the same spot: floor 0, outside the terminal building, arrivals. Book through each company's own app or site before you walk out to meet the car.

Pay with a bank card, not cash. Cash is EUR 5.00; tapping a contactless card is EUR 3.00, and each additional person tapping the same card pays progressively less.
The ten-ride card, the urban single and the specific airport tickets have not been valid on any EMT bus since the end of January 2026. Anything that describes a EUR 15 bono or an airport ticket is out of date.
A resident's Tarjeta Única or Intermodal rides free in 2026, on this line too. A visitor cannot obtain one: it needs a Balearic residence document.
The A1 and A2 may only be used for journeys that start or end at the airport — "sin posibilidad de trayectos intermedios" — so this bus is no cheap hop between two city stops.
The cash ticket is "Sin Transbordo": it does not carry you onto the train, metro or TIB coach at the Estació Intermodal. EMT publishes no transfer rule for card payment either.
The last bus from the airport is 03:10 and the first 05:30, every night. From the city the last is 00:20 and the next 03:30.
EMT publishes 25 minutes to the end of the line and no time for Plaça d'Espanya, which is the sixth of nine stops.
The fare is on notice: an ordinance initially approved on 29 July 2026 would put the airport reference fare at EUR 4.50 and the cash single at EUR 3.00 once adopted and published; check EMT's tariff page.

Free for Balearic residents with a Tarjeta Única or Intermodal in 2026; children under five free with a paying adult. Only for journeys starting or ending at the airport.
This bus does not go to Palma. It serves the resort strip east of the airport; the A1 from the same stop is the city bus.
Pay with a bank card: EUR 3.00 tapped against EUR 5.00 in cash, and less per head for companions on the same card. EMT publishes the percentages, not the euro figure.
Every 35 minutes on weekdays and every 25 at weekends, so the wait can be as long as the ride. Last bus 01:15, first 06:15.
Only for journeys starting or ending at the airport, like the A1.

Worth knowing
EMT's Line A1 is the only public transport into Palma. Cash is EUR 5.00, no transfer. Tap a contactless bank card instead and get 40% off: EUR 3.00. Tap the same card for each companion for a bigger discount — 45%, 50%, 55%, then 60% off for the fifth — five people for EUR 12.50 against EUR 25.00 in cash. Balearic residents with a Tarjeta Única or Intermodal ride free all through 2026; a visitor cannot get that card, so the choice is EUR 5.00 cash or EUR 3.00 by card.
The ten-ride prepaid card, the urban single and the airport-specific tickets stopped being valid at the end of January 2026; unused rides were refundable until 31 July. The Tarjeta Ciudadana stopped working as a ticket on 1 June 2026. For a visitor, only cash (drivers need no more than EUR 10 change) and a bank card work now. A pending ordinance would raise the cash single to EUR 3.00 and the airport fare to EUR 4.50; as of 14 September 2026 EMT still charged EUR 2.00 and EUR 5.00.
The A1 leaves the airport at 05:30, then every 15 minutes on weekdays (every 12 at weekends) from about 07:00 to 23:15, every 20 minutes to 01:15, then at 02:15 and a last bus at 03:10. Nothing runs between 03:10 and 05:30, and no night bus comes within five kilometers of the terminal. Toward the airport, the last bus from Passeig Mallorca is 00:20, then 03:30, with a 04:20 extra on weekdays and Saturdays.
The taxi has a minimum fare of EUR 16.95 from the airport, covering the flag-fall, the EUR 4.65 airport supplement and 7 km. The center is 9–11 km by road, so the meter runs past that floor at EUR 1.20/km on weekdays 07:00–21:00, or EUR 1.35/km at night, weekends and holidays (flag-fall EUR 2.85 at those hours, plus EUR 4.75 over Christmas and New Year). Luggage, pushchairs, guide dogs, wheelchairs and card payment are all free of extra charge. Take the rank outside arrivals on floor 0, and ask for the receipt.
A taxi may carry up to eight, with a EUR 3.00 surcharge for five or six passengers and EUR 6.00 for seven or eight. But the fare has no fixed total, so it cannot be shown to beat the bus, which costs EUR 3.00 a head by card (EUR 2.50 a head for five sharing one card). The bus is cheaper at every party size.
There is no train station at the airport — Palma's trains and metro start at the Estació Intermodal under Plaça d'Espanya, reached by the A1. Line A2 leaves the same stop for Can Pastilla, Platja de Palma and s'Arenal (35 minutes), and never enters the city; Line 34 is a weekday hospital shuttle to Son Espases. TIB's Aerotib coaches to other towns (Camp de Mar, Can Picafort, Cala Bona, Campos) leave arrivals too — check TIB's fare calculator for the price.
