EUR 19.60 is the EUR 16.40 single plus the EUR 3.20 Intercity direct supplement, which applies only to Intercity direct and Eurocity Direct departures on this route. The supplement is a separate ticket, valid until 04:00 the next day, bought as an e-ticket in the NS app or at the machine (EUR 1.60 extra for a single-use card); a bank card tapped at the gate pays the fare only, not the supplement. A child aged 4 to 11 on a EUR 2.50 Railrunner pays no supplement. Three or more off-peak can combine the EUR 38.50 Off-peak Group Ticket with one supplement each, cheaper than this fare.

Hours. Three an hour from platforms 5–6 — the Intercity direct at 22 and 52 past, the Eurocity Direct at 11 past — 06:21 to 23:22 on weekdays, from 06:52 on Saturdays, non-stop over the high-speed line. A 23:52 Intercity does the run in 36 minutes; check the planner for whether it carries the supplement. On 26 and 27 September 2026 no fast trains run at all — use the slow Intercity instead.

EUR 16.40 is the second-class single to Rotterdam Centraal; no supplement on this train. A child aged 4 to 11 rides all day on a EUR 2.50 Railrunner. From three people off-peak, the Off-peak Group Ticket wins outright — EUR 38.50 against 49.20 — dropping to 43.00, 47.50, 52.00 and 56.50 for four to seven. Void on weekday peaks; every traveler must be named on the e-ticket.

Luggage. An Intercity, with racks and space by the doors.

Hours. Four an hour on weekdays from platforms 5–6, 05:05 to 22:45 (Dordrecht and Venlo Intercities at 5, 16, 35 and 46 past), two an hour at weekends, 49 to 52 minutes via Leiden and Den Haag HS. The night Intercity at 02:05, 03:05, 04:05 and 05:05 takes 52 minutes, except Tuesday to Wednesday (a two-train route, 53 minutes) and 85 minutes on Wednesday engineering nights. Between 22:45 and 02:05 only the Intercity direct runs, with its supplement.

The Intercity direct (and the Eurocity Direct to Brussels, boardable with an ordinary ticket) takes 26 minutes, three times an hour from 06:21 to 23:22, but needs a EUR 3.20 supplement — buy it as an e-ticket before boarding, or the conductor charges EUR 10 on the train. The ordinary Intercity via Leiden and Den Haag HS takes 50 minutes with no supplement, four an hour on weekdays until 22:45, two at weekends. Three or more off-peak pay EUR 38.50 on the Off-peak Group Ticket instead of 49.20 for three singles (plus EUR 3.20 each on the fast train). At night the Intercity runs 02:05 to 05:05 in 52 minutes, no supplement, except Tuesday to Wednesday, when it needs a change and can take 85 minutes; children 4 to 11 ride all day on a EUR 2.50 Railrunner, supplement-free.
