Worth knowing
The airport describes the FEX as running "24/7, von 4 Uhr bis 1 Uhr alle 15 Minuten" — every fifteen minutes between 04:00 and 01:00. Since December 2025 it runs direct via the Dresdner Bahn, which cut the journey from about 39 minutes to about 23.
Make sure your ticket covers zone C. An AB ticket does not reach the airport, and the extension sold to fix that costs more than an ABC ticket would have.
Four of you should buy one 4-Fahrten-Karte at EUR 16.80 rather than four singles at EUR 20.00. At three, four singles are not worth it and EUR 15.00 in singles is cheaper.
The journey was about 39 minutes until December 2025 and is about 23 now, so older guides overstate it badly.
