Trains for Copenhagen and for Sweden usually leave from tracks 1 and 2, under Terminal 3. Tracks 11 and 12 are on the opposite side of Ellehammersvej, so check the screens before you cross the road.
Tickets
The metro's ticket machines take only coins and cards such as Dankort or Visa, never banknotes. Tickets for both the metro and the train are also sold at the DSB ticket office in Terminal 3.

A taxi pick-up point is outside Terminal 3. A separate rank beside it, also outside Terminal 3, is reserved only for taxis crossing to Sweden.

Three zones, not four. Zone 4 to zone 1 is a three-zone ticket at kr. 30 under DOT's ring-zone rule; the metro's own page says you pay for a maximum of three zones. The four-zone ticket at kr. 40 is valid and wasteful.
It runs every night of the week: every 8 minutes after Friday and Saturday, every 20 after Sunday to Thursday, between 01:00 and 07:00. Every 2 minutes in the peaks and 3 the rest of the day.
Journey times are Rejseplanen's: 13 minutes to Kongens Nytorv and 15 to Nørreport. Metroselskabet says "14 minutes to the centre" without naming a station; the airport says 15 to Nørreport.
This ticket does not cross the bridge. For Malmö you need an Øresund ticket from the airport, and a different train.

The same platforms serve Malmö. Trains toward Sweden and trains toward København H share the station under Terminal 3; the airport's page says to read the screens in Terminal 3 for the track. A wrong choice here ends at a passport check.
Every 15 minutes from 05:00 to about midnight, then 00:01, 01:12, 01:57, 02:57, 03:57 and 04:30 every night of the week, from the Öresundståg timetable valid to 12 December 2026.
The airport says there are no ticket sales on board and a fine without a valid ticket; buy at the DSB machines or counter in Terminal 3 or in the DSB or Rejsebillet app.
Same time as the metro to a different station: 13 minutes to København H against 13 to Kongens Nytorv. At night the metro is the shorter wait — every 8 or 20 minutes against hourly.

Three times the metro's journey for the same price. It earns its place for the night and for addresses along Amagerbrogade, Sundbyvester Plads and Amagerbro.
DOT's night table: "Sundbyvester Plads – Lufthavnen: Hver time alle ugens dage" — the airport leg is hourly all night, every night. The half-hourly night frequency applies only to the inner section.
Journey time is Rejseplanen's for a mid-morning run; DOT publishes frequency but not duration, and Movia does not publish one either.

DSB's fixed Øresund single, 2nd class, airport to Malmö: kr. 96, covering local travel within Malmö but not SJ's trains. Skånetrafiken sells the same ticket as SEK 150 (a 24-hour version is SEK 300); two together pay SEK 240 with the 20% discount applied. Children: two under seven free with each paying adult; ages 7–15 pay about half (SEK 75 on the Swedish side). Two or more on one ticket get 20% off both ways — DSB's Øresund Familiebillet, up to five people, at most two adults.
Your Copenhagen ticket is not valid here: you need at least an Øresund ticket to or from the airport. Buy it before boarding, at the DSB machines or counter in Terminal 3, or in Skånetrafiken's app — there are no sales on the train.
Bring a passport or ID card: Sweden checks documents at Hyllie. A Nordic driving licence works for Nordic citizens; other Europeans need a passport or national ID card, and a visa where required. Without one, police may pull you off the train for a fuller check.
Two prices, two currencies, one ticket. Kr. 96 from DSB on the Danish side, SEK 150 from Skånetrafiken. Pay in the currency you are buying in; nothing here says which is cheaper, because no authority publishes a rate.
Every 15 minutes from 05:00 to midnight, then 00:25, 00:47, 01:02, 01:56, 02:55 and 03:56, every night of the week. The night trains take up to 30 minutes.

Every train from the airport toward Sweden continues to Lund C, so Malmö's timetable is Lund's: every 15 minutes by day, hourly at night, 39 minutes by day and up to 44 at night.
Buy the Lund ticket, not the Malmö one — kr. 109 against kr. 96 — before boarding, and carry a passport or ID card for the check at Hyllie.
Your kr. 30 Copenhagen ticket is not valid past the airport in this direction.

Malmö, Sweden, is 25 minutes away by Øresund train from the platform under Terminal 3, four times an hour by day and hourly at night: kr. 96 from DSB, or SEK 150 from Skånetrafiken, the Swedish seller of the same ticket. Lund is 39 minutes for kr. 109.
The kr. 30 Copenhagen ticket does not cross the bridge; buy an Øresund ticket instead, at the DSB machines or counter in Terminal 3, or in Skånetrafiken's app — not on the train, which risks a fine. It is not valid on SJ's trains, which share the same platforms. Two under-sevens ride free with each paying adult, ages 7–15 pay about half, and two or more on one ticket get 20% off (DSB's Øresund Familiebillet, up to five people, at most two adults).
Bring your passport or ID card: Sweden checks documents at Hyllie, the first stop across the bridge (six minutes). A Nordic driving licence works for Nordic citizens; everyone else needs a passport or national ID card, plus a visa where required. Without one, police may take you off the train for a longer check.
Check the screens in Terminal 3: trains on the same platforms go both to København H (13 minutes) and across to Sweden. Bus 5C takes 38 minutes to Rådhuspladsen for the same kr. 30, worth it only if staying along Amagerbrogade.
Buy the three-zone ticket, kr. 30, not the four-zone one at kr. 40 — DOT counts zones outward from where you stand, not by zone number, and the machine will sell you either. The price is the same everywhere: machine, app, bus or counter.
The metro runs all night, every 8 minutes after Friday and Saturday, every 20 minutes other nights. Øresund trains keep crossing hourly until day service resumes at 05:00, and bus 5C's airport leg runs hourly all night too. No taxi fare can be stated: Denmark caps the meter, not the journey, and rates vary by company.
