The ordinary CFF point-to-point ticket, full fare, 2nd class: CHF 29.00 single, CHF 58.00 return, CHF 50.00 in 1st class. Half fare, CHF 14.50, is what children aged 6 to 15 and Half Fare Travelcard holders pay; under-6s ride free. Group prices only start at ten people. Supersaver tickets can be up to 50% off a named train but change price daily and are not priced here.
The CHF 3.00 ticket does not reach Lausanne. Unireso zone 10 is the canton of Geneva, and so is the Geneva Transport Card; Lausanne is in Vaud. Buy the CHF 29.00 CFF ticket to Lausanne before you board.
A CFF ticket is not for one train: it is good for any train on the route until 05:00 the next morning, and you may break the journey. The IC1, IR15, IR90 and IR95 take about 50 minutes; the RE33, the stopping train, about an hour.
The airport's CHF 10 train discount code does not apply: its list of eligible stations has no station in Vaud, or in Geneva.
Children aged 6 to 15 pay CHF 14.50; under-6s ride free. A parent with a CHF 30 Junior card takes their own children for nothing.
The ticket ends at Lausanne station. The metro and buses from there are on Lausanne's own mobilis fare network, sold separately.
The last trains are 00:19 on weeknights and 01:00 on Friday and Saturday nights; nothing runs to Lausanne between then and 04:58 (05:14 at weekends).
Nyon, 22 to 27 minutes from the same platforms on the trains that stop there — the IR95 and IR15 on weekdays, 48 a day — is on the same distance tariff; its fare is not listed here — ask the machine.
72 direct trains on a weekday: four an hour from 06:00 to 20:00 at about :14 (IR95), :25 (IC1), :45 (IR15) and :55 (IR90), then the RE33 stopping train at :30 and :00 from 21:29, the last at 00:19 arriving 01:21. Friday and Saturday nights the last train is 01:00; Saturday and Sunday mornings the first is 05:14, and an hourly RE33 replaces the IR15 at weekends.

Worth knowing
The free airport ticket ended on 1 January 2022. The machine in the baggage hall now sells the ordinary CHF 3.00 ticket instead.
Guests of registered Geneva accommodation get a free Geneva Transport Card. Fill in the form your hotel or host sends before you fly — the digital version arrives by email up to three days ahead, so it works from the airport. Wait until check-in and you will have already paid CHF 3.00 for this ride.
The ordinary ticket is CHF 3.00 for 60 minutes across all of Geneva, valid on both the train and the bus. The train takes six minutes to Cornavin; this one ticket covers anything else the train or bus does.
The taxi fare to the centre is capped by law: CHF 50 to the right bank, including Cornavin, and CHF 60 to the left bank, or the meter if that comes to less. You cannot be charged more than that by any route.
A Geneva taxi may be a minibus. The law defines taxis to include vehicles with more than nine seats, a higher limit than most cities allow. It still never beats the train for a group, because CHF 50 against CHF 3 a head does not cross until seventeen people.
Trains run to 00:19 on weekdays and 01:00 on Friday and Saturday nights. Bus 10 runs later still, to 01:12 every night and 03:18 on Friday and Saturday. The gap before the 04:58 first train is about 3 hours 45 minutes on five nights and 1 hour 40 on two.

The same trains continue past Cornavin to Lausanne: 72 a weekday, four an hour, about 52 minutes, CHF 29.00 (CHF 14.50 for a child of 6 to 15, free under 6). For France, change at Cornavin for the Léman Express to Annemasse (CHF 3.00 plus a CHF 1.70 zone complement); Annecy is a further train beyond it and not priced here.
