TRY 46.20 on an İstanbulkart, the flat first-boarding fare. A bank card or phone tapped on the gate, or a single-use ticket, pays TRY 65. Children pay from age seven; there is no group ticket. Changing to the Marmaray or a bus on the same card is a TRY 34.40 transfer, not a second full fare. Between 00:30 and 05:30 on Friday and Saturday nights every fare doubles.

Worth knowing

Every day, every 4 to 10 minutes. On Friday and Saturday nights the line keeps running — every 30 minutes from 00:30 to 05:30, at double fare — so there is no gap those two nights. Sunday to Thursday nothing runs between 23:59 and 06:00.

Fifty-two minutes end to end: the airport is the last stop and Kadıköy the first, so every ride is the whole line, with 21 stops between.

Sunday to Thursday the last train is 23:59. Land later and it is the E-10 bus (00:15, 01:05, 02:25, 03:30), a Havabüs coach to 01:30, or a meter taxi. Friday and Saturday nights the metro runs through instead, every 30 minutes at double fare.

It does not cross to Europe. For Taksim change at Ayrılık Çeşmesi to the Marmaray, then to the M2 — three trains — or take the Havabüs coach direct.

Six and a half times cheaper than the Havabüs coach to the same square, and no slower.

Every fare on this page is İBB's tariff of July 2026, the second revision this year; expect the figures to have moved again and check the fare at the gate.
