Bus 29 from quay 3 is direct: 18–23 minutes to the Gare centrale, free, every 10 minutes at weekday peaks and 15–30 otherwise, 04:42–23:49 (04:49 weekends). The tram also gets there, in 31–32 minutes via Kirchberg, and runs later — last tram 00:06 — so it is the option after the last 29.

Free, on the same regulation as the tram and the 16: article 5 of the règlement ministériel of 18 December 2025. The airport's FAQ: "Since March 2020, public transport in Luxembourg is free of charge."

Luggage. Carried free by regulation; an ordinary city bus with space by the doors and no racks.

Hours. From Aéroport quay 3. Monday to Friday: 04:42, 04:55, 05:13, 05:33, 05:51, 06:06, 06:19, every 10 minutes to 08:49, every 15 to 15:49, every 10 from 15:59 to 18:19, every 15 from 18:34 to 21:35, then 21:52, 22:17, 22:49, 23:19 and 23:49. Saturday: 04:49, every 30 to 07:17, every 20 from 07:43 to 18:24, then 18:43, 19:03, 19:23, 19:45 and every 30 to 23:49. Sunday and holidays: 04:49, every 30 to 12:15, every 20 from 12:44 to 16:24, then 16:45, 17:05, 17:25, 17:45 and every 30 to 23:49.

Free, by law since 1 January 2026: no ticket needed for tram, bus or train, except first class. No ticket, card, validator or app; luggage is carried free too.

Luggage. Carried free by regulation, provided it does not take a seat or block the aisle. No racks and no luggage charge.

Hours. From Findel: first tram 05:03 Monday–Friday (04:57 in school holidays), 05:05 at weekends and holidays; last 00:06 every day. Every 8 minutes by day, every 10 after about 20:20, every 15 from 23:06. Toward the airport, the last tram leaves the Stadion at 23:17 Monday–Saturday, 23:12 on Sundays.

Before you travel

Does the Bus 16 to Hamilius via Kirchberg stop at Gare centrale?

No. It runs to Hamilius in 22 to 29 minutes and Stäreplaz/Étoile four minutes later.

What if my flight arrives late?

Not everything runs around the clock: the Bus 29 to the Gare centrale runs 04:42–23:49, and the Tram line 1 to Hamilius and the Gare centrale runs 05:03–00:06. Outside those hours nothing runs to the center.
