Under-4s travel free; groups of three to nine can ask for the Région's mini-groupe discount, 30 to 50 per cent off the train fare. A Pass Intégral (EUR 40 for 3 days, EUR 55 for 7) covers both legs plus everything else in the Métropole.
Luggage. Bus 13 is a city bus with no hold; the TER takes luggage free — the Région's leaflet: "Votre bagage (y compris votre bagage à main) est accepté sans frais".

From the airport toward Saint-Charles, every day: 04:05, 04:25, 04:40, then every 20 minutes to 07:00, every 10 minutes from 07:00 to 20:00, every 20 minutes from 20:00 to 01:40, and a 01:50 departure — 106 runs a day. The 04:25 and 01:50 departures run only May to October; the rest of the year the last coach is 01:40. Toward the airport from Saint-Charles: 03:30, 03:45, every 20 minutes to 07:00, every 10 minutes 07:00–20:00, every 20 minutes to 01:00, then 01:15 (May to October).

"The center" is not one place, and the answer changes
Lebus 13 for the train, and the A1 and A2 coaches, all leave from the gare routière between Terminals 1 and 2; lebus 13 goes from quai 5. Buy your TER ticket at the SNCF machines in the terminal before you walk out to the bus.
Tickets
Buy the TER ticket before boarding lebus 13 — SNCF machines are in the terminal and at Vitrolles station — since the driver sells only the bus's own EUR 1.20 fare. On the A1 coach, a tapped card buys only the full adult single; get child, youth or return fares at the machines or Boutique instead.
The taxi rank
The taxi rank is outside Terminal 1, with about 86 cars working around the clock. There's no flat fare here: insist the meter runs, and ask for a printed receipt if the ride comes to more than EUR 25.
Luggage
The A1 and A2 coaches carry bags in a hold below the bus — every bus leaving or arriving at the airport this way is fitted with one. Lebus 13 to the train is an ordinary city bus, with nowhere to stow a case but the seat beside you.

The bus keeps short hours: 06:24 to 21:24 on weekdays, 06:17 to 21:02 at weekends and holidays. Before the first bus and after the last, the A1 coach is the only public way in; the TER itself runs 06:08 to 22:15 on weekdays.
Allow 22 to 60 minutes, typically 38 on a weekday and 47 at weekends. No train leaves Vitrolles between 10:53 and 12:18 on weekdays (11:01–12:18 at weekends); arrive at the start of that gap and the journey stretches past 90 minutes.
EUR 8.70 a head: EUR 34.80 for four, EUR 69.60 for eight. Groups of three to nine can ask for the Région's mini-groupe discount on the train leg, 30 to 50 per cent off, though the price for this specific fare isn't published.
EUR 7.50 on every train: the Région publishes no Sunday, off-peak or evening variant of the single. The fare is set by distance.
From Saint-Charles the metro to the Vieux-Port is a separate EUR 1.70 RTM ticket, and it does not run in the evening from Monday to Wednesday during the NEOMMA works.

EUR 15 is the Métropole's own live figure and the airport shop's; the EUR 10 on the Métropole's 2025 sheet and in its 2025 tariff guide, still the documents a search turns up, is the price before 1 July 2026.
Tapping a bank card on board buys only the full-fare single. The EUR 7 youth fare, EUR 5 child fare and EUR 25 return are sold at the machines and Boutique in the bus station; cash on board is accepted only when the Boutique is shut. A 2026 price for the old ten-trip (EUR 65) and combined A1-plus-RTM (EUR 10.90) tickets isn't published.
The sheet says 30 to 50 minutes and the timetable 22 to 30; the airport's shop says 25. Between 07:30 and 08:50 and 16:00 and 17:50 the timetable itself allows 30, and the sheet's upper figure is for a motorway that is often full.
Last departure 01:50 (01:40 from November to April), first 04:05, every day. The bus-and-TER chain stops at 21:02–21:24; after that, only a taxi reaches Marseille, at the meter's night tariff.
A metro ticket is not included: a EUR 1.70 RTM single, or a bank card tapped at the gate, takes you on from Saint-Charles.
EUR 6.30 a head dearer than the chain at every size — EUR 120 against EUR 69.60 for eight — for a single vehicle, a hold for the bags, and the 19 hours a day the chain does not run.

The TER from there reaches Saint-Charles in 13 to 23 minutes for EUR 7.50, second class. Allow 22 to 60 minutes end to end, about 38 minutes on a weekday.

The bus-and-train chain runs 06:24–21:24 on weekdays, 06:17–21:02 at weekends, with a gap at Vitrolles (no train 10:53–12:18 weekdays, 11:01–12:18 weekends) that can push the journey past 90 minutes. The A1 coach covers the rest of the day, 04:05 to 01:50 (01:40 November to April); between 01:50 and 04:05 only a taxi reaches Marseille.
