Only a requested waiting charge and a EUR 4 booking fee may be added — no other supplement, including the usual fifth-passenger or luggage charges. Cannes taxis charge the same EUR 32 on a booking.

"The center" is not one place, and the answer changes
The tram starts right at Terminal 2, on the platform in front of it; from Terminal 1 it's the esplanade outside door A0. The hop between the two is free, so it makes no difference which one you land at — just board the tram marked Port Lympia, not line B.
Finding the stop
The 12+ bus stop is on the Promenade des Anglais, 150 metres from Terminal 1, opposite the Sheraton — quicker into town than the tram, and the last thing running at night. From Terminal 2, take the free tram one stop to Terminal 1 first.
Tickets
The machine on the tram platform sells only the €10 Aéro return; the ordinary €1.70 fare needs a card or the Android app. Get either at the Selectour desk inside the terminal, or at the machines one stop away at Grand Arénas.
The taxi rank
The rank is at entrance A3 at both terminals — Terminal 1 has its own door too, A1, by the airport's French-language page. Drivers take cards for any fare, and you can ask for a receipt, which is compulsory above €25.
Uber and Bolt
Uber's pickup point is the "Parking Pro" area: from Terminal 1, follow signs through the departures hall to exit D4; from Terminal 2, follow the yellow taxi signs to exit A3. Either way the app gives the exact spot once a driver is assigned.

The last tram is 23:51 Monday to Saturday and 23:46 on Sunday, 00:51 on Friday and Saturday nights; nothing then leaves the terminals until 05:20. The 12+ bus from the Promenade stop runs to 00:54.
Bags larger than 55 x 25 x 35 cm are outside the operator's stated rule, and trolleys are banned on board. The airport's free inter-terminal link is this same tram.

The stop is on the Promenade, 150 m from Terminal 1; from Terminal 2, take the free tram to Terminal 1 first. There is no machine selling the EUR 2 card at the terminals, so load your Solo onto a card or the Android app before you walk out.
Sundays start late, at 07:04, and run every 19 minutes; take the tram before then.
Buy before boarding: the airport says no sales on board, and the operator's only on-board product is a EUR 4 Solo Secours.
A road along the seafront: the timetabled 12 to 19 minutes is a fair-weather figure, and it runs to 25 minutes to Garibaldi.

EUR 32 covers the whole car, up to eight passengers, no night, Sunday or luggage supplement. An ordinary taxi seats four; for five or more, ask at the rank for a larger one, or book through Taxi Nice Riviera (+33 4 93 13 78 78), which adds EUR 4.
The flat fare covers the perimeter only. West of boulevard Gambetta or north of the voie Mathis, the meter runs instead: EUR 4 to start, EUR 1.30 a kilometre by day, up to EUR 3.30 at night, EUR 8 minimum.
Ask for a stop or a detour on the way and the forfait no longer applies; the meter does.
No authority publishes a taxi journey time. The 20 minutes here is a working figure: the 12+ bus does the Promenade stop to Place Masséna on the same road in a timetabled 12 to 19 minutes. Allow more in summer traffic.
