For Nice generally we recommend the Bus 12+ along the Promenade. For Nice-Ville station the answer changes.

Take tram 2 to Jean Médecin, change to tram 1 toward Henri Sappia for one stop, Gare Thiers — about 800 m from the station on foot. One Solo ticket covers both trams within 74 minutes. The EUR 32 flat taxi fare applies. The TER from Nice Saint-Augustin, seven minutes from Terminal 1, is a direct alternative, unpriced here.

The ordinary Solo, EUR 1.70, covers 74 minutes with connections, valid from the airport. Load it on a EUR 2 rechargeable card (deposit refundable at a sales point) or the Android app — iPhone's app can only load a physical card. A Multi card holds up to 100 rides at EUR 1.70 each and can be shared, validated once per person. The airport's own product, the Aéro, is EUR 10 for a return with no expiry on the second leg — it is what the Terminal 1 and 2 machines sell. Day passes are EUR 7, 13 and 20 for 1, 2 and 7 days. Children under 4 free; 4 to 11 free only with a named card from an agency.

Luggage. The operator's FAQ allows only bags of 55 x 25 x 35 cm on board and bans luggage trolleys on the tram, even between the terminals.
