Line A1 Aeroport – Palma CentreorTIB A32 to Alcúdia?

The short answer

These do not go to the same place, so price is not the comparison. The Line A1 Aeroport – Palma Centre reaches Plaça d'Espanya and the Estació Intermodal, the hub for the island's trains, metro and TIB coaches; the A1 goes on to Passeig Mallorca by Jaume III and Es Baluard, at the old town's western edge; the TIB A32 to Alcúdia does not. Goes to Alcúdia and the north-coast resorts, not to Palma — for central Palma take EMT's A1.

The Line A1 Aeroport – Palma Centre is quicker: 25 min against 55 min. The TIB A32 to Alcúdia varies between 50 and 60 minutes.

Line A1 Aeroport – Palma Centre: 05:30–03:10. TIB A32 to Alcúdia: 07:55–00:05, High season only, 22 July to 31 October 2026.

Pay with a bank card, not cash. Cash is EUR 5.00; tapping a contactless card is EUR 3.00, and each additional person tapping the same card pays progressively less.

The ten-ride card, the urban single and the specific airport tickets have not been valid on any EMT bus since the end of January 2026. Anything that describes a EUR 15 bono or an airport ticket is out of date.

A resident's Tarjeta Única or Intermodal rides free in 2026, on this line too. A visitor cannot obtain one: it needs a Balearic residence document.

The A1 and A2 may only be used for journeys that start or end at the airport — "sin posibilidad de trayectos intermedios" — so this bus is no cheap hop between two city stops.

The cash ticket is "Sin Transbordo": it does not carry you onto the train, metro or TIB coach at the Estació Intermodal. EMT publishes no transfer rule for card payment either.

The last bus from the airport is 03:10 and the first 05:30, every night. From the city the last is 00:20 and the next 03:30.

EMT publishes 25 minutes to the end of the line and no time for Plaça d'Espanya, which is the sixth of nine stops.

The fare is on notice: an ordinance initially approved on 29 July 2026 would put the airport reference fare at EUR 4.50 and the cash single at EUR 3.00 once adopted and published; check EMT's tariff page.

A high-season line only: 22 July to 31 October 2026. TIB's own line page flags it as a high-season service and it does not run the rest of the year.

This does not go to Palma. For the city, take EMT's A1 from the same general stop area instead.

EUR 8.10 needs a contactless bank card tapped on board; paying the driver in cash is EUR 13.50.

Alcúdia and Port d'Alcúdia cost the same from the airport, four fare zones, whichever you ride to.
