For one traveler the cheapest way is the Tram T7 at €4.60, 40–80 min; the fastest is the Métro 14 at €14, 23–26 min. Every option below is priced as a total for your party and says where it leaves you.
4 listed options
Not everything runs around the clock: the Métro 14 runs 05:30–00:00, and the Orlyval, then RER B runs 06:00–23:35, and the Tram T7, then Métro 7 runs 05:30–00:30. Outside those hours, the Taxi, regulated flat fare is what remains.

On top, only two supplements apply: EUR 5.50 per passenger from the fifth, and EUR 4 or EUR 7 for booking. A taxi seats up to eight besides the driver. The Ville de Paris still shows EUR 44 for the Right Bank; that's the 2024 figure, expect EUR 45.

Going somewhere specific?
"The center" is not one place, and the answer changes
The métro station is entirely underground, with no station building — reached by three stairwells on the airport's forecourts: two at Orly 3, one at the foot of car park P3, linked to the bus station. The platforms sit 21 metres down.
Which terminal
The métro leaves only from Orly 3 and the tram only from Orly 4; Orlyval alone has a station at both clusters. Landing at Orly 1 or Orly 2, reach whichever you need on foot or by the free inter-terminal shuttle.
Uber and Bolt
Uber's pickup point is exit 10a for Terminals 1 and 2, and the marked "Ride App Pick-up" zone at exit 48A for Terminal 4 — follow the signs from baggage claim to the exit matching your terminal.
The taxi rank
Follow the "Taxis" signs from baggage reclaim to the rank outside arrivals: level 0, gate 32a at Orly 1, 2 and 3, gate 48a at Orly 4, where licensed agents load the queue. The airport's own rule: refuse anyone who offers a ride inside the terminal, and check the roof light and the meter. The flat fares to Paris are set by the police prefecture.

EUR 14 is the airport fare and it is the whole reason this page exists: the same ride from the next station in would cost EUR 2.55, and the tram from Orly 4 reaches the same Châtelet for EUR 4.60 in about eighty minutes.
The ticket is sold only on a phone or on a Navigo Easy card (about EUR 2), and a card that already holds ordinary métro tickets cannot take an airport ticket. Buy it in the Île-de-France Mobilités app before you reach the gates.
A Navigo Jour day pass is NOT valid on line 14 to or from the airport, though it is valid on the tram and the night buses. Navigo weekly, monthly and annual passes for all zones are.
The hours above are the airport's, and its own page gives two different last trains, 00:00 and 00:30. Treat midnight as the last safe departure.
The station is under Orly 3, on the Orly 1-2-3 side. From Orly 4 it is a walk or the free inter-terminal shuttle; allow for it before trusting the 26 minutes.
From four travelers the Right Bank taxi is cheaper than four of these tickets; from three, the Left Bank taxi is.
Service runs 05:30 to 00:00 on one part of the airport's page, to 00:30 on another; treat midnight as the safer last train. Check before relying on anything after 23:30.

Same price as the métro and slower to Châtelet, so it earns its place only for the RER B corridor: Denfert-Rochereau, Saint-Michel, Châtelet–Les Halles, Gare du Nord and the change to Charles de Gaulle.
The last shuttle leaves at 23:35 and the first at 06:00, the operator's own figures, which makes this the earliest thing to stop at night.
The change at Antony is a real one, with gates: keep the ticket, and remember the RER B leg is only priced here on the airport ticket, not on an ordinary EUR 2.55 single.
A Navigo pass that is valid on line 14 to the airport is not valid here. Anyone on a weekly or monthly pass should take the métro.

Neither is an airport product — the tram runs on the ordinary tariff. A Navigo Jour day pass at EUR 12.30 covers both legs.
This is the cheap way in and it is slow: Paris Aéroport's own figure is 80 minutes from Paris to Orly 4 with the change at Villejuif, against 26 on line 14. You are trading about an hour for EUR 9.40 a head.
Buy both tickets in the Île-de-France Mobilités app before you leave the terminal. The tram ticket will not open a métro gate and the métro ticket will not validate on the tram.
The tram stop is at Orly 4, not at the métro station under Orly 3. If you land at Orly 1, 2 or 3, the free shuttle to Orly 4 comes first.
It runs on the ordinary tariff, so every pass that is refused at the métro gates — a Navigo Jour, a card of ordinary tickets — works here.
The 40 minutes to Villejuif is the airport's figure for that leg; the same page also gives 45 for the full line end to end. The métro leg is not timed anywhere reachable, so the 80 is the only sourced door-to-door figure.
The airport's hours, not RATP's timetable: Paris Aéroport states "Le tramway 7 circule de 5h30 à 00h30, 7J/7", every 8 to 15 minutes. The métro leg keeps its own hours.

It never beats the tram-and-métro route at EUR 4.60 a head. It beats the métro from four travelers to the Right Bank (EUR 45 against EUR 56) and from three to the Left Bank (EUR 36 against EUR 42).
The price depends on which side of the river you are going to, not on how far: EUR 36 for the 5th, 6th, 7th, 13th, 14th and 15th arrondissements, EUR 45 for the rest of Paris. Say your address, not "Paris". Outside the commune of Paris the meter applies.
The flat fare is for a direct ride. Ask for a stop or a detour and, in the arrêté's words, "la tarification forfaitaire n'est pas appliquée".
The journey time here is not an operator figure: no authority states one, so this is a realistic range for a road journey into Paris that starts 10 km from its edge. Rush hour on the A6 decides the rest.
Five to eight people in one car pay EUR 5.50 a head from the fifth on top of the flat fare. The statute allows an eight-seat taxi; whether one is waiting at the rank is another matter, and the supplement is the same in a booked one.
It is the only option here that certainly runs all night, and it costs the same at 03:00 as at noon.

Worth knowing
Which ticket you need depends on the terminal. From Orly 3, Métro 14 needs the EUR 14.00 airport ticket — the ordinary EUR 2.55 métro ticket does not work at Aéroport d'Orly station. From Orly 4, Tram T7 runs on the ordinary tariff: EUR 2.05, then EUR 2.55 on Métro 7 into Paris. That's EUR 4.60 and about eighty minutes, against EUR 14.00 and twenty-six. The two stops are a walk or a free shuttle apart.
The tram is cheaper than the taxi at any group size: eight people pay EUR 36.80 by tram against EUR 67 for one taxi, and there is no group ticket. Against the métro, the taxi wins sooner: EUR 45 to the Right Bank beats four EUR 14 tickets, and EUR 36 to the Left Bank beats three.

From a fifth passenger add EUR 5.50 each; booking adds EUR 4 immediate or EUR 7 in advance; no luggage charge. Eight people fit in one car for EUR 67. Ask for a stop or detour and the flat fare no longer applies. The Ville de Paris still prints EUR 44 for the Right Bank; that's the 2024 figure, expect EUR 45.
The same EUR 14 ticket covers Orlyval, the shuttle from Orly 1-2-3 and Orly 4 to Antony on RER B: six minutes, 06:00 to 23:35, about 35 minutes total to Paris. Use it for the RER B corridor — Denfert-Rochereau, Saint-Michel, Châtelet–Les Halles, Gare du Nord. Navigo passes are not sold or valid on Orlyval, though they are valid on line 14. Between the terminals Orlyval is free.
Orlyval's last departure is 23:35. Line 14's last train is listed as midnight on one part of the airport's page and 00:30 on another; treat midnight as the safer figure. After that, Noctilien night buses take the EUR 2.05 Bus-Tram ticket — the EUR 14 airport ticket is not valid on any bus. The taxi's fixed fare is the same at 03:00 as at noon.
