A maximum, not a flat fare: the meter runs, capped at EUR 2.95 to start and EUR 1.95 a kilometre, and may stop short of EUR 35. If the receipt shows more, the airport asks for a complaint with the receipt to feedback@zag.aero.
More than four people, or luggage that does not fit a car, is a van by the airport's rule: EUR 3.30 to start and EUR 2.60 a kilometre, and the only van ceiling printed is EUR 55 to Špansko in western Zagreb, 21 km. Two cars are up to EUR 70.
From four people this beats the shuttle: at most EUR 35 to the door against EUR 36 in shuttle fares; three pay EUR 27 on the shuttle. Bus 290 stays cheaper at every size, EUR 10.60 for four.
The published ceilings are for the listed destinations — the centre, Novi Zagreb, the two stations, a dozen hotels, Arena Centar; anywhere else the meter decides.
Cards and phone wallets are taken, but not every car takes Diners or American Express; ask before the car moves.
