Worth knowing
Every Rotterdam-bound Intercity from platforms 5–6 calls here: four an hour on weekdays 05:05 to 22:45, two an hour at weekends. After 22:45 only the Intercity direct runs south, and it skips HS. The night Intercity at 02:05, 03:05, 04:05 and 05:05 takes 32 to 37 minutes, except Tuesday to Wednesday, when it ends at Leiden.
No direct train between 22:45 and 02:05: the evening Intercity directs to Rotterdam run past HS without stopping.
A single-use chipcard from the machine adds EUR 1.60; tap a bank card or buy an e-ticket instead.
