The Rhônexpress arrives at its own platform, 50 m from the Porte Alpes exit on the rue de la Villette side, 29 minutes from the airport. The T3 tram reaches the same Gare Part-Dieu Villette stop: 13 minutes from La Soie via the C200, or 29 minutes from Meyzieu ZI via the 248. For the west side and boulevard Vivier-Merle, walk through the SNCF hall.

A ticket for Zones 1 and 2 costs EUR 2.10, valid an hour and re-validatable for connections within that hour. Tap a contactless bank card, phone or watch on the bus and again on the métro or tram; one card covers up to five people by tapping again within ten seconds, capped at three trips a day. Bought from the driver it costs EUR 2.40 (EUR 2.50 cash by the airport's page); the TCL E-Ticket app is Android-only. Under-4s travel free; 4–10-year-olds need a free pass on a TCL card. A shareable ten-ride carnet is EUR 20.50 (cheaper than singles only from ten people); the EUR 7.30 Pass Tribu covers two to five people, including at least one child aged 4–17.

Luggage. A city bus, then a métro or tram; no racks, and the bus fills at Genas and Décines on the way in.

Hours. From the airport bus stop toward La Soie: weekdays 05:42, 06:12, 06:42, 07:12, 07:42, 08:12, 08:42, 09:12, then hourly to 14:12, half-hourly 14:52–18:52, then 19:32, 20:32, 21:32, 22:32 and 23:32. Saturdays, Sundays and holidays run hourly 05:17–23:17. Only one bus in three on weekdays (one in two at weekends) continues past Genas to the airport — check you're on the right one. The same EUR 2.10 Zones 1 and 2 ticket as the C200, valid an hour with one re-validation for the bus-to-tram connection. Tap a bank card on the bus and again on the tram, or pay the driver (EUR 2.40, or EUR 2.50 cash by the airport's page). Children as for the C200.

Luggage. A suburban bus and a tram; bags travel with you and there are no racks.

From the airport bus stop toward Meyzieu ZI: 06:26, 06:58, 07:28, 07:58, 08:28, 08:58, 09:28, then hourly 10:26–15:26, then 16:28, 16:58, 17:28, 17:58, 18:28, 18:58, 19:28, 20:26 and 21:26 — 22 departures, the same every day. A single costs EUR 16.30 online or in the app, EUR 17.40 at the station machine, or EUR 21.40 from the on-board agent (a EUR 4 surcharge). E-tickets are valid a year in either direction and refundable if unused (EUR 3 fee after 7 days); machine tickets are not refundable or exchangeable. Under-12s travel free with an adult; 12–25-year-olds pay EUR 10.70 single or EUR 20.30 return. Standard returns are EUR 28.50 online or EUR 30.30 at the machine, dropping to EUR 26.20 or EUR 22.90 if bought one or two months ahead. The 10-ride card is EUR 143 (EUR 14.30 a ride, shareable in a group) and cheaper than singles only from nine rides. Rhônexpress tickets aren't valid on TCL; buy TCL tickets from the on-board agent.

Luggage. No limit on bags: vertical racks at the doors and shelves above the seats; skis and boards must be bagged; bikes and folded pushchairs free.

Hours. Rhônexpress departs the airport daily: 05:00, 05:30, 06:00, 06:15, 06:30, 06:45, 07:00, 07:20, then every 15 minutes from 07:37 to 21:07, then 21:30, 22:00, 22:30, 23:00, 23:30 and 00:00 — 69 departures, each 29 minutes to Part-Dieu, running every day of the year. Delayed flights due before 23:00 get extra departures, sometimes by coach.

What if my flight arrives late?

Not everything runs around the clock: the Rhônexpress tram-train runs 05:00–00:00, and the Bus C200, then Métro A or tram T3 runs 05:42–23:17, and the Bus 248 to Meyzieu ZI, then tram T3 runs 06:26–21:26. Outside those hours nothing runs to the center.
