Linate Aeroporto station, the eastern terminus of the M4, at the terminal
To
San Babila (M1) in 12 minutes and Sforza-Policlinico (M3 at Missori) in 13; on through Sant'Ambrogio (M2) to San Cristoforo in 28
Luggage
Carried free. ATM's current metro rules refuse only items over 90 cm on any side at the gates and mention no charge; a 2007 company regulation still on ATM's site asks for a ticket for a case over 50 cm, and the current rules do not repeat it.

Journey

It is the same EUR 2.20 as any ride across Milan, with no airport supplement, and under-14s ride free. Against Malpensa's EUR 15 train and Bergamo's "from EUR 9" coach, this is the whole difference between the three airports.

The Duomo is not on the M4: change at San Babila to M1 for one stop, or at Sforza-Policlinico to M3 at Missori. For Milano Centrale, M3 from Missori is five more stops. The change is on the same ticket, within 90 minutes.

Tap the same card in and out. A card that is not tapped out is charged the fare to the farthest station plus an extra; a card can pay for one person at a time; and cards do not work on Trenord's S lines from Dateo or Forlanini.

ATM's printed sheet says every 1 to 3 minutes at weekday peaks; as of September it is every 4. Either way you will not wait long. After 20:00 it is every 6.

Last train from Linate 00:26; the NM4 bus takes over at 00:40 on the same ticket. First train 05:40, or 06:00 on a Sunday.

Anything over 90 cm on a side is refused at the gates. Ordinary suitcases are carried free under the current rules.

This is what runs at 03:00, and it costs EUR 2.20. As of 31 August to 13 September 2026: 19 minutes to Corso Europa, 14 to Dateo.

It is currently diverted: after San Babila it runs via Viale Regina Margherita, Crocetta and Porta Romana to Porta Genova, skipping Via Visconti di Modrone, Largo Augusto and Sforza-Policlinico. Check ATM's sheet before relying on a stop west of San Babila.

Every 30 minutes, so a bus may have just left: the first after the last train is at 00:40, fourteen minutes later.

At the other end of the night there is a 30-minute hole between the last bus at 05:10 and the first train at 05:40 on weekdays; on Sundays the bus runs to 05:40 and the train starts at 06:00.
