This is a firm fare, not a starting price: EUR 15 for adults, EUR 7.50 for children aged 4 to 13, to or from any Milan station. Under-4s travel free with a paying adult. A "Malpensa Family" ticket covers two adults and two children aged 4 to 17 for EUR 36.

This EUR 114 fare is fixed by Regione Lombardia, not the airport or the driver, for any address in Milan. It has applied since 1 July 2024, confirmed for 2025, and is charged per ride.
The options are still here — your budget or journey-time filter is drawn tighter than any of them. Widen either one, or reset the filters, to bring them back.
Prices marked "from" are starting prices set by the operator. Prices are whole-party totals; group fares are included. Ride times are recorded journey durations — no waiting or onward travel has been added — and road times vary with traffic. Confirm prices and availability with the operator. Going the other way? How do I get from Milan Malpensa airport to Milan city center?
For one traveler we recommend the Terravision coach, sold from €4, 40–50 min, which is also the cheapest way in; the fastest is the Malpensa Express at €15, 39–56 min. Every option below is priced as a total for your party and says where it leaves you.

An eSIM for Italy, installed before you fly, works in the arrivals hall: tickets, maps, the driver's messages.
A flight three or more hours late, or cancelled at short notice, can be owed up to €600 a passenger under EU and UK rules, depending on the flight. AirHelp charges only if the claim succeeds.
These links pay us a commission. They never change which transfer we rank first.
Arriving late?
Not everything runs around the clock: the Terravision coach runs 05:10–01:10, and the Airport Bus Express coach runs 05:00–02:30. Outside those hours, the Taxi, predetermined fare to Milan and the Pre-booked private transfer are what remain. Set the hour you leave arrivals and the board keeps only what is running.

"The center" is not one place, and the answer changes
Terminal 1’s station has four tracks and sits on floor -1, reached by an internal walkway from arrivals. The same train continues straight on to Terminal 2, a few minutes further down the line.
Finding the stop
Every coach to Milano Centrale now leaves from one bus area on level -1 of Terminal 1, by the railway station and the Sheraton hotel — go there even if you land at Terminal 2. Only Marinobus and Italbus still stop at gate 8.
Tickets
Buy online, in the Trenord app, or tap a contactless card directly at the ticket gate. Terminal 1 also has a ticket office right in the arrivals area, open 07:00 to 21:00, and the ticket needs no validation however you buy it.
Uber and Bolt
Uber picks up outside door 7 at both terminals. At Terminal 1 that’s a signed walk past Parking Nord, 2 to 3 minutes from baggage claim; at Terminal 2 it’s the parking area across the road, about a minute away.

Terravision still lists a Terminal 2 stop ten minutes later, but the airport says every coach to Milano Centrale now leaves from Terminal 1, level -1, even if you land at Terminal 2 — board there.
The timetable allows 50 minutes from Terminal 1. It is a road journey down the A8, so allow more at busy hours.

Two branches, two very different journeys: 39 minutes to Milano Cadorna, 56 to Milano Centrale. Check which one your train is before you board, because the slower branch takes almost half an hour longer for the same fare.
The airport says departures run 05:09 to 22:09; Trenord's own board shows trains from Malpensa T1 to Cadorna at 01:05 and 02:15. If flying late, check Trenord's board rather than the airport's hours.
It costs about four times the coach's advertised fare to reach the same station. You are buying immunity from traffic on the A8, which is worth a lot before a flight and very little after one.
You can pay at the gate with a bank card rather than buying a ticket first.

This EUR 114 fare is fixed by Regione Lombardia, not the airport or the driver, for any address in Milan. It has applied since 1 July 2024, confirmed for 2025, and is charged per ride.
EUR 114 is roughly 28 times the coach's advertised fare and nearly eight times the train. It buys a door and a boot at an hour when the coach has stopped.
A standard taxi seats four. Five people is two cars and EUR 228, because the fare is per ride and not per person.
The same decree prices Milan's other airport, Bergamo, at EUR 128 — further from Milan and dearer to be driven from, which is worth knowing before you book a flight into either.

Worth knowing
Milan has two airports and they are not interchangeable. Malpensa is Milan's main airport, about an hour out by road. Bergamo is sold as Milan and is a different city 50 km the other side of it. Check which one your ticket says before you plan anything.
Malpensa Express costs EUR 15; the coach to the same Milano Centrale is advertised from EUR 4. The train does not depend on the A8, so take it when you cannot risk traffic before a flight.
Four companies run this coach to Milano Centrale — Malpensa Shuttle, Malpensa Airport Bus Express, Terravision and Caronte — about every 20 minutes combined. Only Terravision and Bus Express publish a fare. Hours: Bus Express 05:00 to 02:30, Shuttle 03:40 to 23:40 plus a 02:10 departure, Terravision 05:10 to 01:10, Caronte hourly 06:00 to 01:05 plus a 03:05 night run.
The "Malpensa Family" ticket costs EUR 36 for two adults and two children aged 4 to 17, valid on any Malpensa Express train. It only covers that exact group, so four adults cannot use it. Four separate tickets — EUR 15 twice and EUR 7.50 twice — would cost EUR 9 more.
The airport has two terminals and a free shuttle between them roughly every 15 minutes. The train serves both, so check which terminal your flight uses before you pick a platform.
