For one traveler the Terravision coach is cheaper by up to €11. The Terravision coach fare is sold "from" a price rather than at it, so this comparison holds only at the advertised prices and the real answer can change with the day you travel.
The Malpensa Express is quicker: 39 min against 50 min. The Terravision coach varies between 40 and 50 minutes.
Terravision coach: 05:10–01:10. Malpensa Express: hours not recorded.

A ticket is valid on other coaches the same day, but a seat is guaranteed only on the one you booked. If your flight is delayed, a EUR 4 "Lower fare" ticket is not valid on the following coaches.
Terravision still lists a Terminal 2 stop ten minutes later, but the airport says every coach to Milano Centrale now leaves from Terminal 1, level -1, even if you land at Terminal 2 — board there.
The timetable allows 50 minutes from Terminal 1. It is a road journey down the A8, so allow more at busy hours.
Station beneath the terminals, serving both T1 and T2
To
Milano Cadorna in 39 minutes, or Milano Centrale in 56 via Bovisa and Porta Garibaldi
Luggage
No stated limit, and racks on board.
Journey
39–56 min
Two branches, two very different journeys: 39 minutes to Milano Cadorna, 56 to Milano Centrale. Check which one your train is before you board, because the slower branch takes almost half an hour longer for the same fare.
The airport says departures run 05:09 to 22:09; Trenord's own board shows trains from Malpensa T1 to Cadorna at 01:05 and 02:15. If flying late, check Trenord's board rather than the airport's hours.
It costs about four times the coach's advertised fare to reach the same station. You are buying immunity from traffic on the A8, which is worth a lot before a flight and very little after one.
You can pay at the gate with a bank card rather than buying a ticket first.
