EUR 114 is roughly 28 times the coach's advertised fare and nearly eight times the train. It buys a door and a boot at an hour when the coach has stopped.

A standard taxi seats four. Five people is two cars and EUR 228, because the fare is per ride and not per person.

The same decree prices Milan's other airport, Bergamo, at EUR 128 — further from Milan and dearer to be driven from, which is worth knowing before you book a flight into either.
