Pickup guide

From arrivals to your taxi

Three steps once you have collected your bags.

01

Follow the taxi signs

Head from arrivals to booked online: the driver meets you in the arrivals hall with a name sign and waits for a late flight.

02

Take a licensed taxi

Use the marked rank, not an approach in the hall.

03

Confirm the fare

State your address and confirm the price before you set off.

Worth knowing

Only online bookings get the fixed price. At the rank the meter runs: ISK 880 to start, then ISK 477 a kilometre for the first four and 364 after that by day (08:00 to 16:00 on weekdays), 564 and 452 at night and weekends, for a ride of about 50 km.

A minibus for five to eight on the meter costs 30% more than a car; the fixed price already prices it separately.

On Good Friday, Easter Day, 17 June, Christmas and New Year the meter carries a 35% surcharge; the fixed price is not stated to change.
