On arrival at Stuttgart Airport

From the arrivals hall to each way in
Finding the station

The S-Bahn station, Stuttgart Flughafen/Messe, is at Terminals 1–3; the S2 and S3 leave from the same platform, and it has no staff, so buy your ticket at a machine before you board. The U6 stop is about a five-minute walk from the terminals.

Tickets

Buy a ticket for two zones at a VVS machine, from a bus driver, or in the VVS Mobil or DB Navigator app. A single is valid for three hours in one direction, changes allowed; an app ticket is for immediate travel only.

The taxi rank

Taxis wait at the rank in front of Terminal 1, on the arrivals level. They run on the city's meter, and the driver may not charge more or less: EUR 4.20, then EUR 3.00 a km for 4 km and EUR 2.50 after. Five or more people in a large taxi pay EUR 7 extra, and the driver must say so before setting off.

Uber and Bolt

Uber picks up at Stuttgart airport. There is no fixed meeting point: request the ride after you land and the app gives directions to the pickup area.

At night

On Friday and Saturday nights, and nights before public holidays, the S-Bahn runs all night, hourly. Other nights the last train to the centre is the 00:38 S2, and the next departure is the first U6 at 04:21. Day tickets stay valid until 07:00.
